Overview

Tommy's funeral. His mother weeps into Johnny G's shoulder, Johnny holding her with the look of a man who has done this too many times. Danny declines to speak. The only eulogy comes from Eddie Tellieri, jaw wired shut from the parking lot, loyal to the end for a man who nearly killed him. Nobody in the room knows where to look. Bobby makes the call to Croatia. Slavko doesn't answer. Ivano does, warm and calm and efficient, everything Bobby used to be. The matter is settled, with his uncle sending regards. Bobby hangs up and sits with it, completely tuned out of Aaron's rambling in his ear. Bobby and Rita meet. They occupy similar spaces in their families, that of ones who really run them. It is cold and professional and as good as it's going to get without Pino at the table. Danny goes home, he reflects on his choices as the camera finds his face and stays there. Bobby gets home late. The basil on the windowsill has grown. He waters it and turns off the light, as Brooklyn continues.
