Overview

The armed robbery abroad story is the kind that sounds straightforward until the paperwork gets involved. A claimant comes back from overseas significantly out of pocket after a robbery, but the police report from that country tells a different version of events entirely. Whether that discrepancy is down to corrupt local reporting, misunderstanding, or something the claimant arranged themselves is the question investigators have to work through. Cross-border claims are already complicated; add a conflicting official document and the whole thing becomes considerably harder to unpick.
