Overview
The mountain integrates into the World Touring Car Championship, bringing controversial tech inspections and chaotic weather. Torrential rain storms turn the circuit into a literal river. The sleek, dominant European Texaco Ford Sierra turbos cross the finish line first, but are immediately hit with massive technical protests over illegal wheel-arch modifications. Following months of bitter international court appeals, local heroes Peter Brock, David Parsons, and Peter McLeod are officially awarded the win.
