Overview
An era of raw, flame-spitting power comes to an emotional close at Mount Panorama. In the final race for the iconic, heavily modified Group C "Big Bangers", Nissan's turbo Bluebird stuns the field with a blistering pole lap. The race transforms into an absolute war of attrition. Peter Brock and Larry Perkins pilot their iconic, day-glo Mobil Holden Commodore to a dominant 1-2 team finish, claiming Brock's eighth mountain crown and closing an unforgettable chapter of local motorsport.
