Overview
A rebel outpost is abandoned just before imperial troops arrive, leaving Maximilien to discover that someone warned them in advance. He finds evidence that the withdrawal was a decision that suggests inside knowledge of rebel movements. Several commanders begin shifting their support toward Laurent, believing his controlled approach is the only way to prevent further losses. Étienne realizes that the rebellion is being watched by the Empire and shaped from within by unseen influence.
