Little penguins are breeding at Taronga Zoo in Sydney while an Orang-utan undergoes eye surgery at Perth Zoo. Keepers at Healesville Sanctuary have been called out to a house where there is a venomous snake on the loose and female elephant Dokkoon awaits the birth of her calf at Melbourne Zoo.
