Overview

The Prophet Zachariah, a righteous and devoted man, is mentioned in the Qur'an as a model of patience and faith. He dedicated his life to the service of God, praying humbly and imploring His mercy. Zachariah was a prophet who took care of the mother of Mary, and he was the one who witnessed the miracle of the birth of her son, Yahya (John the Baptist), even though he and his wife were elderly. His unwavering faith in Allah and his sincere prayers led to this miracle. His story is an example of devotion, perseverance, and absolute trust in the will of Allah.
