Overview

Dawn pierces a lavender sky. We are alongside a serene glacial lake ringed by the looming Southern Alps. As the sun ascends, light sparks in a fairyland of ice crystals. In the braided river system of shallow sandbars and flats, paradise shelducks graze on clover and weed seeds.
