Overview
An intimate portrait of the American ballerina Suzanne Farrell that provides an insight into her professional and private lives, both of which involved the great choreographer George Balanchine. Balanchine created many roles for Farrell, including Dulcinea in Don Quixote , a ballet that echoed their relationship of older man in love with much younger girl. Illustrated with performances from many Balanchine ballets, the film includes comment from former dance partners Jacques d'Amboise, Arthur Mitchell, Edward Villela, and Paul Meija, as well as from Farrell herself.
