Overview
Revered Polish-Jewish educator, pediatrician, and writer Janusz Korczak chose to die with nearly 200 orphans from his Warsaw Ghetto orphanage, leading them calmly to the Treblinka extermination camp in August 1942 rather than abandoning them.
