Overview
Marie DePalma, a shy 14-year-old middle school student in Detroit, MI, is thrilled when older student Luis Cruz takes an interest in her and they start dating. As their relationship develops, her life turns into a living hell. She is sexually assaulted by her boyfriend and his friend, and then harassed relentlessly by his gang for years.
