An eight-part documentary series on the great Italian signorie of the 14th and 15th centuries, devoted to eight cities shaped by their ruling dynasties — Florence, Padua, Urbino, Ferrara, Milan, Mantua, Rimini and Verona — and the art and architecture they left behind.
