Overview

Molly has been promised she can continue as a tenant and keep her girls, even if grocer Damgaard buys the hotel. However, it quickly turns out that the grocery couple does not have the purest flour in the bag. Mrs. Fjeldsø is shocked by a letter from her son in Sweden, so her sister Lydia must use unconventional means to find out what has happened. Madsen is gripped by stock fever after big gains in the American market, and Poul finally finds his youthful love. In the kitchen, things also happen when Edith gets an idea of how she and the other girls can prevent Mrs. Andersen from signing the grocer's sales agreement.
