Overview
After his uncle Emir Shirkuh al-Mansur's death, Saladin becomes vizier of Egypt, establishing the Tribunal of Mezalim to address Egypt's issues. Şemse questions the verdict given to Mila, blamed for Gülçehre's death. Sultan Nureddin targets Kerek and orders Countess Mila brought to Damascus, deepening her resentment towards Saladin. King Amalric plans to teach Sultan Nureddin a harsh lesson. Ibelin's control is contested between Chatillon, backed by King Amalric, and Balian, supported by his people. Saladin, facing opposition from the Egyptian elite, demands the Caliph's wealth for the people's welfare, giving the Caliph two days. Saladin's stance on Kerak and Ibelin angers Sultan Nureddin.
