This is a Facebook Live discussion from Dec. 6, 2016 where I ask the question "Why Does Music Evoke Emotion?" This is based on a discussion I had with my kids on the way home from school about what is sad, happy or scary. Their answers were fascinating and I wanted to share them with you. I played them the cue "The Murder" from Bernard Herrmann from Psycho, Randy Newman's cue "The Claw" from Toy Story 3, "Compass and Guns" from Thomas Newman's Shawshank Redemption and a piece in E Phrygian that I had written for one of my latest videos.
