Overview

Amid the grief over Zeynel’s death, Sultan Mehmed galvanizes the fractured Ottoman heartland with a vow of vengeance, uniting rivals like Kurtçu and Bali Bey against the growing Pontic threat. As Komnenos’ fury and Uzun Hasan’s support for Pontus destabilize regional power, internal palace tensions and dissent among officials complicate Mehmed’s response.
