Overview
Two sides in a state of flux meet for an intriguing FA Cup fifth-round tie at St James' Park. Both teams have experienced recent managerial upheaval: George Burley took over at the Saints following the departure of Harry Redknapp , while Graeme Souness left the Geordie giants after a huge financial outlay failed to bring returns on the pitch.
