Overview
England v Northern Ireland. Sven-Goran Eriksson's men launch into a home double header of World Cup qualifiers which could help propel them towards Germany in 2006. Their first opponents in today's Group Six tie at Old Trafford are a resurgent Northern Ireland side unbeaten in six games.
