Overview
A new miniature terracotta world of half a million figures has been discovered in the Xian province in central China. The extraordinary world of emperor Jing Di is revealed by this archaeological find, the most important since the discovery of the original terracotta armies of China's first Emperor in 1974. The discovery of the 8,000-strong life-size terracotta army buried beside Emperor Qin's tomb stunned and puzzled the world. This new find radically changes our view of the early emperors and rewrites the history of the birth of the most enduring empire on earth.
