Yishou is convinced Lin-sao is the thief when he sees her buying a new computer for her daughter. Upon interrogation, she finally admits she had pawned the watch for her daughter’s sake. She begs him not to expose her, as she needs to feed her family. Yishou empathises. He asks Shuiqing for an advance and redeems the watch.
