Overview

The Weissenhof Siedlung, built in Stuttgart in 1927 for the housing exhibition sponsored by the Werkbund, proved to be a turning point in the self-identification of the International Style. The Weissenhof Siedlung was intended as a ‘manifesto’ demonstration of Modern Movement architects’ abilities in the field of housing.
