Overview
Photojournalist Lutz Jäkel traveled to Syria again and again until the outbreak of the Arab Spring uprisings in March 2011. The Levantine country and its people impress him with their cultural diversity and great tolerance, with fine architecture and rich cuisine - the rich legacy of countless peoples, here at the hinge of Orient and Occident. In the GRENZGANG live stream, the eloquent photojournalist describes his best memories and encounters in the carefree everyday life before the war.
