Overview
On 26 April 1986, the Pripyat region of the USSR, suffered the worst nuclear accident in history. 31 people died in the explosion and over 100,000 were evacuated from the area. The Chernobyl catastrophe was riddled with secrecy and massive incompetence. This is the detailed build up to how that disaster happened.
