Overview
Augustus is informed that Constantine has fled. Constância tells Amália that Afonso abdicated the throne of Montemor to live with her. Virgílio tells Amália that he will return the money from Martinho's debt to compensate for the harm he did to her and the family. Afonso accepts Augusto's invitation to take command of Artena's troops and free Catherine.
