Overview

Floortje Dessing continues her journey with photographer Jasper Doest from the Netherlands to Nepal. In Iraq they drive in convoy to Mosul, where the devastation after years of conflict is still great. Jasper and Floortje wonder what will happen to the animals in a city where there has been so much fighting. In the old zoo of Mosul, Floortje hears the story about bear Lula and lion Simba, who were rescued from the war-torn city in 2017. In the south of Iraq, Floortje and Jasper visit the special swamp area and its inhabitants.
