Rishi Kashyapa lectures Kadru about Parenting. She questions her parenting and also considers it the real reason for the death. He asks Vinta and Kadru to mold diyas to teach her a lesson. Vinta who took the name of Lord Vishnu made an excellent 'diya' whereas Kadru's 'diya' was ugly. Kashyapa compares the 'diyas' with their children.
