Clive’s alleged former lover arrives unexpectedly at the Crosbies’ - and, after being punched, provides conclusive evidence that he fathered her son. Bev realises she is not the only applicant for a cleaning job on the Close. Marianne is asked for a list of workers who are surplus to requirements.
