Overview
Peter manages to arrange a secret meeting between Alexander and Napoleon, of which not even D'Arny knows. They quickly reach an understanding, and Napoleon invites Alexander to a ball in Saint-Cloud in the evening. Alexander, pleased with the meeting, expresses his gratitude to Peter. Varya and Anna Antonovna come to Olga and bring her the child Ksenia. Mongo asks them not to reveal his presence. Olga, busy thinking about her fate and the fate of the child, agrees to a meeting with Napoleon.
