Overview

Valencia, with more than two thousand years of history, is an important tourist enclave in Mediterranean Spain. What makes it captivating is above all its historic center where successive civilizations - Roman, Arab, Christian - and different artistic eras left their marks. Valencia is a bathing city built on the mouth of the Túria River that formerly crossed it. This is why the center is far from the beach. The magic of the city is also revealed in the survival of traditions that can be discovered on a two or three day getaway.
