Overview

Zhaodu Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine discovered during a flood relief that Chen Yinsheng, the victim of a shadow puppet show in Chenjia Village, Cizhou, lived on the shadow puppets all the year round. His son Chen Dapeng was paralyzed by a car accident during a shadow puppet show. With awe of the national intangible cultural heritage, the dean decided to overcome all difficulties to treat Chen Dapeng after learning about the situation, hoping that the next generation of shadow puppetists can inherit the craft of "handling shadow puppets".
