Overview
The film takes place over the course of one year, following the legendary Whitney Murray as she prepares for her record-breaking world tour. However, the true heart of the story is the rise of her daughter, Sunday Paris Murray. The movie captures the high-stakes world of the Murray household, where the living room is a design studio and the backyard is a rehearsal stage. We see Sunday at 12 years old balancing three massive roles: The Designer: Drafting the "Sunday Flare" patterns for the tour's 50+ dancers. The Lead Dancer: Perfecting the choreography that will debut on opening night. The Lead Actress: Playing the "younger version" of Whitney in cinematic dream sequences that explain the family’s rise to fame.
