What you Deserve follows a suicidal gay ex-mormon and the memory of his 15 year old self, as they are forced to break apart the long held belief that they deserved to be violently sexually assaulted on the night before their sixteenth birthday. Based on real events from the writer's life and shot in his hometown's of York and Lancaster, Pennsylvania, What You Deserve is an unflinching look at how sexual trauma echoes through time pinning us to our past until we're willing to face it.
