Overview
In 1962 the world stood at the brink of outright nuclear war as Russia continued to deploy nuclear missiles in Cuba. This programme follows this crucial time in history and looks at what would have happened had the V-bombers of RAF Bomber Command been deployed to drop their lethal payload on Russia. Whilst a Vulcan pilot relates how the mission would have gone had he had to push the fateful button.
