Overview
The documentary "Vapniarka" tells the story of the prisoners from the concentration camp at Vapniarka, a locality on the current territory of Ukraine, which during the Second World War was part of the Government of Transnistria, administered by the Romanian authorities. Through the drawings of Gabriel Cohen, Aurel Mărculescu, Gheorghe Ceglokoff and Laszlo Karoly (used to create this material) we learn about the extremely difficult conditions that the prisoners, mostly Jews with communist sympathies, had to endure (dilapidated barracks , cold, disease, famine and many others).
