Overview
Between tradition and modernity, a young couple from the Kazakh minority get married. Alina and Qwandik, a young Kazakh couple, are returning to their hometown, Aksay, a small town located in Gansu Province of China with approximately 3,000 Kazakh people, to take one of the most important steps in their lives: marriage. Having lived for a long time in a modern city in inland China, this is an opportunity to reimmerse themselves in the customs and traditions of their community and culture.
