Overview
Americans detonate nuclear waste that had been buried in a village in Khorasan Province. As a result of the chemical radiation released by the explosion, a young shepherd named Mohammad contracts a mysterious illness, and his sheep also die. Fearing that they might catch the same disease, the villagers force Mohammad, his wife and child, and his brother Abdullah to leave the village. Mohammad, Abdullah, and Mohammad’s family travel to the capital. With the help of a fellow villager named Morteza, a greedy and opportunistic man, Abdullah takes his brother to a hospital. A revolutionary doctor named Ataei, having discovered the truth of the matter, reports it to the hospital director. The security organization and the Americans, led by Javish, fear that the incident may become public. They decide either to transfer Mohammad abroad or to eliminate him.
