The Photo Album Grandpa Left Behind

Overview

After my grandfather, Ngôo Kau, passed away, I came across a photo album while sorting through his belongings. Within its pages lay a past I had never been part of. In order to preserve a record of my grandfather and our family, I embarked on a journey with the album as my guide. Using the photographs as portals to the past, I explored the landscapes and visited relatives, seeking oral histories to reconstruct memories and document our family's legacy. Through this process, I aimed to illuminate the relationship between family albums and memory.
