Against the backdrop of the traditional stone quarrying culture of Jinyun County in Zhejiang, The Stone Road traces the development of this craft from the Song Dynasty to the late 20th century. The film captures the daily life and work of the stonecutters, whose labor helped shape the bridges, streets, and houses of the region.
