Overview
Amidst the somber era of the rising National Socialism, a fervent bond evolves between Nelly, a Jewish artist, and Eugenie, her muse and paramour. They valiantly confront the looming threat by safeguarding their artistry and individuality, boldly resisting oppressive forces. The film takes inspiration from the real-life narratives of Jewish female artists compelled to emigrate, their art stigmatized as 'degenerate,' and their names expunged from art history by the National Socialists.
