Overview
‘The Green Carnation’ depicts a decapitated diva, trapped inside a pink-satin purgatory of her own design. Inspired by equal parts Diana Ross and Oscar Wilde, The Green Carnation (Angel Rose) sings an ode to excess, while her servant//love-object (Josh Quinton) torments her. Through her lyricism, Angel Rose portrays the conflicted figure of ‘the decadent’, as well the archetype of the diva- she who is powerful and adored, yet never truly loved.
