In Vila Chã, the practice of traditional fishing has endured to this day, despite its continuation having long been under threat. Grandson and son of fishermen, João Pedro, at 23 years old, is the youngest fisherman in Vila Chã, a choice he made at an early age and never gave up on, even against his parents' wishes.
