Overview
In Ferlach, a small town in Carinthia, gunsmithing has a centuries-old tradition. Even today, many workshops still manufacture luxury hunting weapons for the global market. Against the backdrop of a region marked by conflicts over the two everyday languages, Slovenian and German, different narratives unfold: about the resistance struggle of the partisans, about the Nazi era, about the effects of globalization—and the dark experiences of the Slovenian ethnic minority.
