Overview

This is an ambitious work by the distinctive filmmaker Hiroyuki Arikawa. Taking on the weighty themes of Hiroshima and the atomic bomb, the film approaches them through three different forms: discussion, drama, and personal testimony. Expressing both anger toward the absolute violence of the atomic bomb and remembrance of those who perished because of it (a number that continues to grow even today), this powerful film quietly yet forcefully conveys its message. Its impact transcends the boundaries of independent cinema.
