Overview
A gay couple’s right to marry is challenged by religious freedom when a rural town clerk refuses to sign the couple’s marriage license. Town records deflate the importance of the issue at ensuing board meetings while proponents of the couple struggle to maintain an official presence in public records. Over the course of a year, the couple’s supporters fight for justice and an accurate narrative of events.
