Overview

70 minutes documentary about the birth of Dutch electronic pop music, 1956-1960. Philips at the time had the knowledge and facilities to design new sound equipment, and the right people happened to be around, too. Moreover, they already owned the spool tape recorder, invented during World War II. ‘Room 306’ at the Physics Research Lab (Natlab), in the Philips complex called Strijp in Eindhoven was the place where Dick Raaijmakers, Henk Badings and Tom Dissevelt worked.
