Overview
The place is 12th-century England. King Richard I leads his troops, the crusaders, in battle. The story begins as Robin, the only son of Lord Locksley of Nottingham, learns that his father, a crusader, has been executed for communicating with enemy forces. Robin is now the son of a known criminal, and finds himself in prison on false charges. Worst of all, he is separated from Marian, his beloved and a woman of noble blood
