Overview
By illustrating the phenomenon of conversion therapy, Rien à guérir reminds us of the importance of reflection and ongoing education on the issue of minority rights. Their names are Mehdi, Jean-Philippe, Khadija, Fabienne or Dan. They range in age from 18 to 58. What they have in common is that they have been “cured” of their homosexuality. Whether for a few months or ten years, within their families or with health professionals, they tell us their stories of exorcism sessions or “behavioral therapies” in 21st-century Belgium.
