Overview
On the People’s Beach explores the past, present, and speculative future of Jacob Riis Park. Known to New Yorkers as a historically queer beach, Riis Beach faces encroaching capitalistic venture, constant surveillance, and violence against the queer community, while maintaining itself as a haven for belongingness and self-discovery.
