The the province of New Brunswick has the highest density of covered bridges in the world. In 1944 there were 320 of these majestic structures, but today only 66 remain. The covered bridge is a piece of the past, a link between progress and history. There are a few man-made structures that can match the peaceful scene of a covered bridge on a rippling New Brunswick river surrounded by wild often untouched forests.
