My Dance with Rosa

Overview

At a salsa party in Copenhagen, Esben falls head over heels in love with Cuban Rosa, and she quickly becomes pregnant. Rosa, however, has struggled with feelings of alienation throughout her life in Denmark—shaped by maternal neglect, a lack of family support, and a sense of being out of place in a foreign country. As Esben and Rosa start to build a life together, doubts about their love and recurring misunderstandings constantly challenge their relationship.
